The [course_title] course focuses on the management method of relevance to urban public transportation systems. Throughout the course, you will learn to manage the transportation system including Transit management.

Lessons will cover the organisation providing public transport service. You will also learn about the alternative arrangements for service provision including different ways of involving the private sector in public transportation. The course includes the various management tasks such as strategic planning management, labour relations, maintenance planning and administration, financing, marketing and fare policy, and management information and decision support systems. You will learn how these general management tasks influence and dominate the transit industry.

Finally, the course covers both current transit industry practice and alternative strategies.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer need to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
