The [course_title] course critically evaluates the factors that shape what we know about antiquity. The impact of antiquity is immense no matter whether we study architecture, poetry, modern drama or paintings. The course helps you to realise the ancient and modern importance of Library of Alexandria along with the evidences in the different accounts of its destruction. Finally, you will understand how some modern contexts and ideologies shaped our explanations of historical events.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word.
