Wood burning, also called pyrography, is the process of drawing a picture on a piece of wood with a hot brass tip. With this [course_title] you learn the basics of wood burning, including what the different tool bits do, how to transfer an image onto wood, and how to burn and shadow the picture like a wood tattoo. You will learn how to create a small piece of woodburned art for your home. You will go through the steps of choosing the right tools, drawing and burning a design.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
