The [course_title] course explores the challenges of defining a relationship between exposure to environmental chemicals and human disease. Through epidemiological approaches, the course helps you to understand disease causation while biostatistical methods help you to interpret your data. Both qualitative and quantitative health risk assessment methods used in the U.S. for regulatory decision-making will be discussed. Other topics included in the course are the evaluation of human exposure to chemicals, and their internal distribution, metabolism, reactions with cellular components, and biological effects.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
