The [course_title] course us an introductory course focusing two topics in physics: Electricity and magnetism. The course uses TEAL (Technology Enabled Active Learning) approach which is designed to help you to develop proper understanding and intuition about the conceptual methods of physical phenomena.
The first part of the course deals with electricity covering electric charge, coordinate systems, Electric potential, equipotentials, Gauss’s Laws, Conductors and capacitors, Resistance, DC circuits, and more. The rest of the part deals with magnetism and teaches you how to create magnetic fields -Biot-Savart, Ampere’s law, Faraday’s law, Maxwell’s equations, EM radiation and energy flow, etc.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
