The [course_title] course offers a basic introduction to nuclear science and its engineering applications. The course teaches you about the basic nuclear models, radioactivity, nuclear reactions and kinematics. You will also know interaction of ionising radiation with matter such as radiation detection, radiation shielding, and radiation effects on human health. Finally, the course illustrates the energy systems based on fission and fusion nuclear reactions along with the industrial and medical applications of nuclear science.
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
