The [course_title] course helps you to correlate the role of cellular and molecular storage mechanisms and the cognitive neuroscience of memory. Both human and animal models of hippocampal mechanisms and function will be illustrated to understand the learning and memory function. You will learn about behaviourism, neuroscience, cognitive neuropsychiatry, the neuroscience theory of learning and memory, and Episodic and semantic memory: the memory for facts and events. You will also learn about skill memory or learning by doing, Working memory and executive control. Non-associative learning or learning about repeated events, Classical conditioning: learning to predict essential events, Observational learning: watching, listening, and remembering, Emotional learning and memory, Language learning: communication and cognition will be discussed in the course.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
