You are obviously familiar with steel. Well, we all are. Because of its strength and low cost steel is used in almost all kind of construction.
This course will introduce you to steel. You will explore its history and cultural context, how it works, why we use so much of it and how we might use it in the future. It is delivered in a lively manner using everyday examples, demonstrations, and film footage of steel making.
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
