Do you know what is thermodynamics and chemical dynamics? These are study of relationship between heat and all forms of energy and study of rate and procedures of chemical reactions respectively. Through this course you will expand your understanding of the basic thermo-chemistry concepts from General Chemistry. Then you will learn about macroscopic chemical properties and how chemical reaction rates are measured from molecular properties. Topics on focus are energy, entropy, the thermodynamic potentials, chemical equilibrium and chemical kinetics.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

Certification
