The [course_title] course focuses on the fundamental concepts of Molecular, Cellular and Tissue Mechanics. You will explore the scaling laws and the methods of the continuum and statistical mechanics to biomechanical phenomena from molecular, cellular, tissue, and organ level. Prior knowledge of differential equations, molecular cell biology, statistical or classical thermodynamics will be helpful. The major concept includes Mechanics at the nanoscale, Mechanochemistry; Polymer mechanics, Muscle mechanics, electromechanical and physicochemical properties of tissues, Static and dynamic cell processes, Mechanobiology, and more.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer need to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
