The [course_title] course focuses on the principles and mathematical models of electrochemical energy conversion and storage. The course is divided into several parts covering circuit methods, thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport phenomena. Topics discussed in the course are equivalent circuits dynamics, thermodynamics, Impedance, reaction kinetics, transport phenomena, electrostatics, porous media, and phase transformations. Apart from these, the course covers the Reactions in Concentrated Solutions, applications to batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitors, Butler-Volmer Equation, and electrokinetics.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
