How much do you understand semiotic landscape of visual context?  This course will give you a deeper know how of the grammar of visual language essentially communicated through visual medium in two dimensional form as well as multi-modality of visual media. This introductory course aims at acquainting you with basic terminology, fundamentals, theory and process of application. It will give you a better grasp to analyze existing modes of visual communication, as well as to come up with better design propositions.


This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
