To predict toxicity and other safety variables as well as the effectiveness of a new product for humans, testing on animal is done for chemical products or new drugs or dosages. There are federal laws that covers animals in research. Priority is given for taking proper care of animals used in research.
This course will introduce you to the principles, laws and policies that influence the use of animal and alternative, non-animal-based research techniques in biomedical research.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
Certification
