The [course_title] course familiarises you with the experimental biochemical and molecular techniques from a quantitative engineering point of view.  The course teaches the essential concepts of RNA engineering, protein engineering, and cell-biomaterial engineering. RNA engineering discusses RNA, how to select RNA with target functionality, Aptamers as therapeutics, etc. while protein engineering deals with rational protein design, Fluorescence and sensors, protein expression, gene analysis, and more.

Finally, the cell-biomaterial engineering section provides you with an introduction to biomaterials, cartilage composition, Drug and gene delivery, and more.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

Certification
