The [course_title] course deals with the introductory and theoretical parts of Classical Mechanics. The fundamental knowledge will help you to gain a solid foundation of quantum mechanics and statistical physics. You will learn about Principles of Least Action or PLA, and PLA and Lagrangian Workflow. The course explains the mechanics of Lagrangians, and why L = T – U. Other topics included in the course are Damped Oscillations, Tricky Potentials, conservation of Energy, etc.
The purpose of the course is to teach the theoretical parts of Classical Mechanics so that you can use the knowledge for treating complex dynamical problems.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
