Aircraft are complex products comprised of many subsystems. The system requires meeting demanding customer and operational lifecycle value.
The [course_title] course covers the holistic view of aircraft system and shows you the basic engineering system of aircraft. You will learn about the cost and weight estimation, necessary aircraft performance and safety and reliability of aircraft. Apart from these, the course teaches you the lifecycle, aircraft subsystems, risk analysis and management, and system realisation. Finally, you will be given a case study for analysing the key design drivers and decisions; aircraft attributes and subsystems; and operational experience.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer need to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
