The [course_title] is designed to teach an understanding of the basic principles of water pollution and water pollution issues on local, regional and global scales. It will begin with a discussion of the basic chemical, physical and biological properties of water and water contaminants. The course explains the wastewater characterization criteria and treatment processes including physical, chemical and biological treatment technologies. It focuses on selected key treatment operations and process design procedures.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
