There are many ways to approach the understanding of consciousness.  Questions about these ways have occupied philosophers and metaphysicians for centuries. During the early growth of cognitive science, the problem of consciousness remained taboo, but an increasing number of studies have either implicitly or explicitly begun to bear on its nature. 

The [course_title] will examine the nature of human consciousness from the interdisciplinary perspective of cognitive science. It will cover topics from the philosophy of mind, cognitive linguistics, neuroscience, psychology, and computational models.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
