The aim of this course is to assume knowledge of elementary calculus. This is the first course in a two-part sequence on Calculus with Theory, 18.014 and 18.024. In 18.014, Calculus with Theory, it covers the same material as 18.01 (Single Variable Calculus), but at a deeper and more rigorous level. In this course it also emphasizes careful reasoning and understanding of proofs.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
