The [course_title] is devoted to the theories of physics to explain the early universe and covers the relativity theory, big bang cosmology, thermodynamics of the early universe, and cosmic background radiation. Other topics covered in the course are electroweak and QCD phase transition, basics of group theory, grand unified theories, baryon asymmetry, monopoles, cosmic strings, domain walls, axions, inflationary universe, and structure formation. You will learn the Cosmological Models with Idealized Matter and Known Matter. The Idealized Matter focuses on the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) Spacetime, FRW Dynamics, Global Structure and Causality Relations, etc. while Known Matter deals with the effect of expansion on Matter on Free Thermal Distribution.
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word.
