Why play Opera at all? In this course you will know why, opera is still a relevant and important art form. You will learn about making and directing Opera. The Visiting Professorship invites leading figures in the operatic world to Oxford each year to give instruction and practice in their areas of expertise. Professors take up residence for short periods while they are involved in a variety of sessions which will include lectures, symposia, master classes and performance.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

Certification
