Petroleum (also known as crude oil or simply oil) is a fossil fuel that was formed from the remains of ancient marine organisms. With [course_title] you will research the process of petroleum formation and technologies for recovering petroleum. You’ll research processes of petroleum formation and reservoir accumulation, explore techniques for finding and recovering petroleum from reservoirs, determine the amount of proven oil reserves and the amount of time remaining before those reserves are exhausted, consider options for prolonging the world’s use of oil, and practice writing skills.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
