Modern theoretical cosmology is concerned with the application of new theories of particle physics and gravitation to understanding the evolution of the Universe from the earliest time to the present day. This [course_title] gives an overview of modern cosmology, i.e. the big bang model. The emphasis is on the very early Universe, where the temperature and energy density was high enough so that the interplay between particle physics and the evolution of the Universe was of central importance.
