Are you interested about German literature of the middle age?

This course has the full range of the literary, cultural and linguistic heritage of the German speaking lands from 800 to 1600. Special areas of interests include the transmission of text in manuscript and early print, mysticism and devotional writing and courtly literature.

You will know about the Prayer-Book of Abbess Odilia, the Plaque in the Psalter and the Bindings, the future of German Studies and Cistercian Punctuation.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

Certification
