Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker. If you know about Jazz you’ve heard their names, but do you know what makes them great? In this course, you will learn what these artists and many others contributed to America’s great original art form, Jazz. This course will also discuss how its evolution both reflected and contributed to American society. It will deepen your understanding of the musical process and develop your ability to identify and analyze different jazz eras and great jazz soloists.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
Certification
