The [course_title] is designed to introduce a common framework to address diverse problems of Earth physics based on special cases of the telegraph equation. It describes the geophysical applications to acoustic wave propagation and to gravity, magnetic, electrical, electromagnetic, heat flow, and seismic problems. It will also introduce the concepts of passive and active measurement of geophysical data and discusses the sources required for active geophysical exploration.
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
