The [course_title] course deals with the basic molecular structural principles of biological materials. You will be introduced with the molecular structures of various elements of biological origins, such as several types of collagen, silk, spider silk, wool, hair, bones, shells, protein adhesives, GFP, and self-assembling peptides. The discussion will also be given on molecular design of new biological materials by explaining the molecular structural principles. The course also gives a short history of biological materials and its future perspective together with  its impact on the society


This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
