Git is a tool to manage your source code history while Github is the hosting service for Git repositories. Many companies use Git. A public profile in Github works as a portfolio for the developer.

The   [course_title] course focuses on the use and usage of Git and Github. The purpose of the course is to help you to keep track of multiple versions of a file and to track bugs by reverting to previous working versions of a file. The course also teaches you how to collaborate with other developers on a project.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

Certification
