There is increasing pressure from both society and governments for chemistry-based industries to become more sustainable through development of eco-friendly products and processes that both reduce waste and prevent toxic substances from entering the environment. The [course_title] will introduce you with the knowledge and skills required to design, synthesize and make materials in an environmentally benign way. It will describe the science behind environmental problems and will look at real world green chemistry products and processes and manufacturing techniques with emphasis on energy, solvents, catalysis, and bio-based materials.
Assessment
This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
Certification
