You will learn the basic concepts of nuclear physics in the **[course_title]** course. Special emphasise will be given on nuclear structure and interactions of radiation with matter; elementary quantum theory; nuclear forces; and shell structure of the nucleus. The course introduces you with the concepts of alpha, beta and radioactive gamma decay, energy levels, nuclear structures, the interactions of nuclear radiations (charged particles, gammas, and neutrons) with matter; nuclear reactions; fission and fusion and more.

**Assessment**

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

**Certification**
