The course teaches you the procedures of using rapid prototyping and CAD or CAM devices in a studio environment.

In the course, you will learn the theoretical perspectives of machine use within the process of design. The course is divided into two sections. The first part deals with the fundamentals of fabrication such as CAD/CAM manufacturing, background digital manufacturing, etc. The next part teaches you how to materialising a design.

Prerequisites: You should have a solid understanding of the modelling in CAD or complete one graduate on design studio.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.

Certification
