Mechanics of Materials deals with the behaviour of the solid-objects subject to stresses and strains. For various methods of calculating the stresses and strains in structural members, such as beams, columns and shafts need Mechanics of Materials to be known appropriately for which this [course_title] is prepared for you. Moreover, through this [course_title] you will be able to understand basic topics like continuum-stress and stress, truss-forces, torsion of a circular shaft etc.

Assessment

This course does not involve any written exams. Students need to answer 5 assignment questions to complete the course, the answers will be in the form of written work in pdf or word. Students can write the answers in their own time. Each answer needs to be 200 words (1 Page). Once the answers are submitted, the tutor will check and assess the work.
